Major Roles Displayed: Reporting to the Director – Inspection & Accreditation is responsible to carry out the comprehensive physical assessment of the Health Care Establishment (HCE) for provisional license using the prescribed Scoring Matrix of Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) and submit an Assessment Report to the Directorate Inspection. Compliance to MSDS by the HCEs is essential for qualifying to get a license from the SHCC. The Medical Expert is active part of the Inspection Team and should ensure that conformance to MSDS is assessed and scored as explained in the Surveyors’ Guide in true letter and spirit.

Developed and implemented the systems and processes to establish and maintain the records of operating programs. As Master Trainer, provided training and continuing education sessions on the chronic diseases (Diabetes, Hypertension and Depression), infectious diseases and other common health ailments to the AKHS, P health care professionals.

As Program Coordinator, was responsible for implementing the SDM model in the health care facilities across AKSH, P regions and managed their program activities, which includes program design, training and development, granting contracts and budgets; monitored the program milestones and expenditures; prepared budget revisions; provided interim status reports on all accounts to the donors; overseen coordinated, and/or assisted to the management in proposal writing for additional funding; coordinated in the collection, compilation, and analysis of SDM program activity data; developed and presented comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports. Served actively as member of SDM Steering Committee of AKU and AKHSP.

As Project Coordinator, was responsible for managing the project activities, which includes establishing and implementing the short- and long term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Facilitated the community for organizing themselves in the social initiatives, conducted training sessions for community health workers, organized series of immunization campaigns in collaboration with the medical staff of Rural Health Centers. Built a strong liaison between the AKU management, top management of LASMO Oil Company, department of health, DHO, DC and SDM offices, local NGOs, stakeholders, political parties and community people.

Managed patients with trauma, acute abdomen, asthma, food poisoning and other emergency conditions.

Was responsible for intubation of patients, controlling the ventilator machines’ in ICU, sampling of ABG’s and attended rush calls. Independently inducted the patients of ASA level (III) and managed anesthesia of the patients in the operation theater.

As Research Officer, was involved in the designing of research questionnaires and survey management. Overseen and coordinated the project activities according to the plan, managed field visits and supervised the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data.
